Wasatch Roller Derby: Divas vs. Wheelers

Roller derby isn’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of Salt Lake City. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist here. Wasatch Roller Derby has been going strong for years with five competitive teams, a recreational team and a junior league team for kids aged 6-17. On Februrary 18, the Black Diamond Divas went up against the Hot Wheelers in the second home match of the season. Pictures of the Divas’ victory over the Hot Wheelers can be found here. The Black Diamond Divas play the Hot Wheelers again in the next home game on March 10.

Tuesday would have been Kurt Cobain’s 45th birthday. So here are some rare candid shots of the late musician.
