Classy Animals and a 9/11 Photography Project

Well, it’s been a pretty dull week, but I’m excited to say that I will be at the Utah State Fair sometime before it ends on the 18th. It’s going to be so radical! Prize-winning chickens, botany, creepy carnies, Weird Al Yankovic! I think Utah is trying to one-up the Iowa/Texas State Fair’s deep-fried butter by allowing you to deep fry your own intestines and wrap them around a flag pole. America!

I googled “classy animals” and this is what happened. Also, this, this, and this. Bonus.

On a more solemn note, as Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11, hundreds of photos from around the world have poured in to Robert Ziegler and Stefka Ammon’s My WTC project. The photos date from 1969 to 2001 and are meant to restore the pre-9/11 memories of what used to be. Please view the full collection.

Other than that, please enjoy this shameless self promotion and pictures from last year’s state fair.
